Isn't it time to take care of You?

Many Americans suffer on a daily basis with chronic pain, fatigue, stiffness and/or inadequate sleep.  That is so unnecessary!  I am a licensed massotherapist (massage therapist) in practice for over 25 years.  I've spent those years constantly studying, learning and growing.  In a massage therapy session, I may blend Craniosacral Therapy, Polarity Therapy (energy healing), Touch For Health Kinesiology and Shiatsu into a total healing experience.  The end result is that whether you are looking to escape into deep relaxation or need expert therapeutic massage to relieve pain (Workers' Compensation is accepted), you'll find the health, balance and peace you desire at Valley Massotherapy in Akron, Ohio.

My Philosophy

My primary focus is to provide a safe space for healing to occur.  The goal of each session is chosen by the client, and every effort is made to honor and support his or her process.  I may, however, gently encourage clients to take more responsibility for their own health and healing.  I believe that education and empowerment lead to health-minded individuals and a healthier society.  I specialize in Craniosacral Therapy.  A therapy session, however, may involve a combination of any or all of the methods listed below.  Every client is different and every session is individualized.  Whether a client comes in for relief from pain, to be able to move again, to gain more self-awareness, or simply to reduce stress and relax for an hour, my goal is for them to leave healthier, happier, and more balanced on many levels.

I accomplish that goal through hands-on expertise, integrity and conscious presence.

Meridian Balancing: Half-Hour for Health

Not everyone can spend an hour or more per week with me.  If you want optimum health on a limited budget, here is a minimum commitment to your own well being: one half-hour per month.  (If it takes more time, I only charge you for half an hour)  A Meridian Balancing for $40, just once each month, can help to keep you healthy and pain-free.

What a Meridian Balancing entails:

1. I evaluate 14 major postural muscles and their related meridians.  This also gives me information about the emotions, organs and body systems associated with each meridian.

2. I locate and correct stress, weakness and imbalance in the muscle/meridian system.  These imbalances could lead to major health problems if not addressed.

3. You will likely feel more relaxed and energized.  It's both a "check-up" and a "tune-up"!

Note: Certain medications or conditions may make this treatment difficult or inappropriate.  That can only be determined in person at your first appointment.

Some conditions can't be corrected through bodywork alone.  I believe, however, that this session is adequate to help most clients deal with normal stress and imbalance.

(To save even more money, take my Touch For Health Kinesiology workshop and learn to do it yourself!  You can keep your whole family balanced, healthy and pain-free)

Other options

Other half-hour evaluation/treatment sessions could include an abbreviated craniosacral therapy session, a Bowen Therapy session, a neuromuscular massage therapy session focused on a specific problem area, A shiatsu session, or even a relaxing massage covering only part of the body.
